Warning- Big fileWell, its finished. Maybe not final version, might add or change a few things in the future, especially if there'll be any requests.
In the beginning, I didn't want to separate it to different parts, but my corel painter has a limit of 16382 pixels length (Checked XP), which sadly wasn't enough.

I apologies for any spelling mistakes or when things arent completely straight- many drawing and writing were done either on the way somewhere (on train, car or bus), when I was dead tired, or both XP.
Anyhow, I hope theyll prove useful, tried to make it as comprehensive as I can. If any of you find it useful, please send me a link to the drawing you used it for

Have you looked at the second part?
It goes over legs, among other things
As a rule of thumb, it helps if you know human anatomy.

I should attempt to draw another dragon
but my dragons
the first one looked like a muscular human wearing a mask or something with wings and tails hahahahaaha my second dragon looked a bit better, but just a bit. instead it looked liked a donkey with an interesting tail and spikes and wings hahahaa
I intended to make the first one look like it's diving down to or something, instead it looks as if a human was shot out of a cannon in the wrong direction (with wings and tails)
I'll go ask to use the scanner tomorrow if I can and show it to you asap, though i should probably draw another dragon and perhaps a better one.

The smaller dragon- Make the base of the wings bigger, they need strong muscles to move the wings- looks more believable. Also, I usually place the base of the wings where the shoulder blades are. Which mean more to the center of the body and closer to the tail then the forelegs.
For the larger one- Try to give him a slightly longer neck. Make its "hands" biger, and his legs (both forelegs and hindlegs) a bit shorter, atleast relatively to the paws. same thing about wings' base placement like the smaller dragon.

I mostly just use bookcovers to practice, and I have a few small sculptures that I have used as references before. I have drawn copies of some stuff on deviant art, but I haven't posted those because I don't want to be accused of anything. I just use them to practice, and I try to make it different so I'm not stealing art or anything.

Oh, I see..
If you want to use a refference for their pose, why not choose some animal insteed? Like wolf, cat, hawk or such, then it can be helpfull, but no one can accuse you of anything, and it will also help to improve your creativity and understanding the dragonic body

I used a few tips from your tutorial. The dragon I drew is my newest deviation... I still need to work on making them more realistic in both their physical features and just the way they move, but I am making progress!
