This is so stunning! The texture contrasting with the whiteness of the inside is so beautiful, it's extremely modern looking.

Thank you. I think the contrast between the interior and the exterior is one of the things I like best about it!

Thanks! Cold working glass is the process of changing the glass after the piece has been made and then annealed (cooled). Using diamond encrusted blades and wheels, you engrave texture into the glass, remove glass, and/or polish the glass. It's a rather slow process that requires multiple passes over the same area to first remove glass, and then polish it back to a smooth shiny texture. Before it was coldworked, this piece kind of looked like a big flattened balloon. One solid shape.

Wow! That is very impressive. I can understand the time it took, having shaped/polished stones before

Has this been fire-polished or have you guys just spent an insane amount of time coldworking it?

No fire polishing on these puppies. My friend is quite the coldworker

wow! I wish I had your friends mad skillz!
I have the blowing skills but my back just can't stand the strain of coldworking... I have recently learnt that the linisher is my bestest friend though!
