I just realized I never added this piece to dA. I made this about 5 months ago or so...
It is about 22X16X16 inches
2 separate pieces blown and engraved... There are a couple other pieces in this design in the works as well.

Just a lovely, lovely work. Love the fluid lines, the colours, the surface detail...all of it. As bloody usual. Make some mediocre work once in awhile mate, so the rest of us plebians don't feel so bad.

There is no room in this world for mediocrity! Ok... I lie... I promise, I make plenty of crap too... I just don't show those pieces to many people...

Must remember to follow that guideline...hide all shite work under bed.
Note to self: Buy bigger bed.

That's one of the beauties of glass... Very easy to cover up any traces of shite work!

I was thinking more along the lines of "accidentally" dropping the shite work... Never to be seen again!

I suppose I'd liken wood putty and industrial grade sanding paper to that for woodworkers, but I'd guess its much easier to smooth a mistake with molten glass than it is a chunk of hardwood thats cracked.

I had such a hard time picking the view which I like the best!!! What a wonderful piece, the flow and color are just awsome The yellow section which looks like it has holes in it, I'm usre the effect wasn't easy to achieve! Beautiful, I wish I can see it in person~~~!

Thanks. It was a bit tricky to engrave the yellow section, but mostly because it was very hard to maneuver it around the lathe because of all the twists and turns!

Glass would have to be one of the more versitile mediums, which makes it so unique and liek you said with endless uses.
