So here's [link] a bit further towards completion. It still seems like it's not quite finished... Although that might be because it's so solitary. I think when I get more pieces in the gallery for my final show it'll be more appropriate in there. I'm also still toying with creating some glass/metal "Creature" be be ensnared by the branches/arteries....Guy's about 4-5 feet tall, and is metal, with some yarn traveling up the vertebrae... Oh yes...I plan on changing the texture of the yarn. Most likely by encasing it in epoxy... Not quite sure yet... But that's what I'm thinking...

i saw something quite similar to this stenciled on a wall in front of the space needle in seattle, it didn't have the roots though, but had the spine

Are you talking about that link that I have next to that airbrushing I did. For HAppypencil.com? That site is getting a little bit old. But it was quite the pioneer back in the day. It's been the same for years. Now imagine that website about 5 years ago. It was quiiiiiiite impressive back then!

Well there's some yarn that is woven in between the vertebrae but most of this piece is metal. It's almost 4 feet tall if that gives it some scale.

All I ended up doing to it was epoxy the yarn to muttle the colors a bit. Also made it look a bit wet. Just a subtle difference, but I like it.

ohhh my god! i love that! you have such an imagination. i get all kinds of weird ideas that are like things out of dreams but never quite figure out how to get them down on paper or in the form of art. that's one thing i want to learn to do better; you do it very well ^.^
