*Edit* Sorry for the repost... But I updated the image. This one has much better contrast.*This piece is a lot more complex that it looks. It looked really bad when I was finished with it, so I cut off the top at an angle, polished it, and then added a battuto technique to the side.
It's a three hour piece. A cane pickup incalmo switch axis... After I battutoed the sides and cut the top it looked much MUCH better. I quite like it now!
It's about 16" tall

It broke in transit... Thanks USPS... And then I sent it in for an insurance claim and they lost it... I never got anything back

This reminds me of my uncles glass work. That's a compliment
I love how you used that technique to make it look almost like fish scales (that's the first thought I had when I saw it).
