Commissioned swan that I made 3/07

About 12" tall X 9" wide

First swan ever. There are definitely some things I would do differently next time. But not bad for a first try in my opinion...

Took about 2.5 hours.

All color powder-applied

I ask because I'm not sure if you'd at all be interested... But I got a commission to do 2 murals in Ohio... One of a beach scene and the other of a world war II scene. The beach scene lends itself to airbrushing very well... And the WWII scene is my weakpoint... It's not something that would pay a huge amount, but it'd probably be enough to make it worth it perhaps... Could be fun...

If it's something you'd possibly be interested in... We can talk about it more...

yikes man... for something like that, it'd need to be pretty sloppy and abstract. I don't do people well, let alone masses of people in all sorts of positions.

if it were a fingerpainting on the other hand... I don't know. they probably want it realistic looking eh?

I was thinking we could each do certain aspects... And you do people just fine. I've seen your work. You can't go pulling that one... I won't go as far as saying it would be abstract... But it doesn't have to be super-realism... In fact most of the sample images I've gotten are somewhat impressionistic with splotches of color... Nothing super detailed...

I really don't feel like I should take on any more commissions until I'm a bit more developed mentally.

Well, it's for my family... So it's a no-pressure situation... It's things like this that will help you develop mentally...

ooooh, well I didn't know that.

it kind of depends on what they want, but I'm still pretty pesimistic about it.
