Description As you can imagine this is just a "Work In Progress" image of the Omega Class Destroyer.
The model will use a lot of the parts i already used on the Warlock, thats the reason why the Warlock is also on this image

Before you may ask: I will do a whole collection of Babylon 5 ships and (maybe) release the meshs for public use. The ships are made to use them in games.
There are a lot of better modeled ships, but they also have a much higher polycount.

Hmmm this picture gives me and idea of a modernized of the Omega. Basically the grav section is locked in the position seen here after EA upgrades the ships with artificial gravity.

Of course this also means a power upgrade. So the add four to eight more cannons, either more Omega's or recycled Nova ones, on the ends of the rotation section. Side mounting (like the cheek turrets) or the usual dorsal/ventral mounting.

Or maybe a mix, some refits have the nova guns others has the Omega. All set up in different mountings.

I can see that as a quick and dirty upgrades to keep the many Omegas in fighting shape.

Now I'm thinking of a Nova with all her guns replace with Omegas...

Do you take commissions?

I love the Babylon 5 reference. What poly counts are you looking at for these model? I only ask as I am a game modeler myself, though on the ultra low poly side, and I am curious.

No problem
The reference fits, the Omega as the old, rusty, outdated destroyer and the Warlock as the modern, overpowered, monster
The polycount of the Warlock is currently at 121.000 polys (with turrets) and the Omega has about 90.000, But the Omega model got a few more details since this picture

The biggest problem is the detailed enginesection, it takes on both ships nearly 25.000 polys, but iยดm sure i can optimize it and reduce the count "a little" bit

I don't know how much low poly work you've done but I specialise in it and I would recommend if you haven't already to not use the extrude commands, they just add poly. It's always best to layer shapes, you know have your base engine box, then add new boxes on top of them to show the detail like armour etc. Also remove any faces and poly's that won't be seen, removable of hidden poly's can make a huge different.ย

I am just offering some suggestions that may help to keep a lower poly count on your models. I myself work with models that are 6,000 or under. I standard off my modeling with a 3,000 limit.ย

But I am loving these Babylon 5 ships you're doing they look awesome.
