Godzilla - King of the monstersZBrush 4, Photoshp CS4, Vue 8 and photography.
the concept of Godzilla here is to create a fat, massive, chunky clumsy, nuclear monster (heisei inspired). I sticked to Godzilla being a dinosaur. If there ever is a species of a marine theropod, that would be his kind. I gave him a massive tail, just for him to swim better and faster and also to balance the heavy body.
The texture is inspired from the millennium G-Suit. I think that is the best skin texture for G. I like the millenium G suit, especially the texture and armor, but the heisei g-suits remain my fave. i really dont know why its my fave, maybe because, of his size and power and for having a very exprssive face, he can actually grin and you will think that he is really angry...
It took me more than 2 weeks to complete this piece, but it took me 1 year to conceptualize and sketch and decide on how he'd look like.

I love all of your designs, but this one takes the cake as the best of them all! I like how you used his trademark bulk to make him look even more awesome!

i havent gone far with the details yet, but it will kill a lot of living things.... except himself, he will just look like a burned carcass but still alive... in a 1 week coma or something then regenerate....

This is a great redesign. I like that you made him a great deal more like a realistic dinosaur but still managed to keep him looking like Godzilla. My only suggestion is that if you want to keep his tail that thick, you ought to make his feet and ankles thick to support all that weight better, or you could just slim down the base of the tail some. Its really great regardless tho.

Very cool design, but my only real issue isn't with the body, but with the tail. Make that a good deal slimmer, and it'd look FAR more athletic, while still looking very robust and powerful. From the hips forwards, it reminds me a lot of Sue, actually, which is really cool. [link]
She's a good deal more robust than a lot of people initially think, and I would definitely look there for some sliiiiight changes. The textures and actions shots though are REALLY badass!

Haha, I came up with the name when I was younger, it stands for "Alien vs Predator vs Jurassic Park", which to my 13 year old self was the coolest thing ever.
I see what you mean behind intending to have the tail thick, and I'm not proposing to go all Diplodocus with an alteration, but slimming it down somewhat would probably make it look more athletic, while still keeping the bulk of the critter looking suitably robust and powerful.

it's Alien vs Predator vs JP vs Godzilla. its a riot of a monster party!
- gigantic alien chestburster coming out of trex
- godzilla gets mad at aliens for killing the raptors
- predator uses their space ship to fight off Godzilla
- Colonial marines vs G-force
- Dutch Schaefer meets the Dr. Grant

i had an opposite reaction to the Final wars G-suit. i thought it was the best g-suit ever when i first saw, it, but as time passes, i started to think how unflavourful it is, compaerd to the other G-suits, but i still kind alike it.

Though I will be the first to admit that I am not a fan of classic dinosaurian posture, I still think this is an amazing looking monster, even if it doesn't necessarily scream Godzilla to me.
