Description
This is a eye photomanipulation walkthrough for one of my pieces, 'Willow'. It was made using Photoshop CS5, but I'm sure later version have the same tools. (:I don't in any way whatsoever claim to be an expert, I'm still learning every bit as much as a beginner. This is just my method which will hopefully help an artist somewhere out there become addicted to eye photomanips like I did! (:

I stumbled across this accidentally and I'm so glad you uploaded this!
I've been working on changing the appearance of eyes lately (because it's fun and I'd like to be more familiar with photoshop) and this was very clear and helpful! Thank you!

This is amazing! I know this isn't related to this tutorial, but I was wondering if you had any hints for trying to put stock of fire onto a background? I'm having real difficulty and its my first manipulation

Thank you!
Well, if the fire stock's background is entirely black, then you can open it on top of your background as a new layer and set it to either 'screen or 'lighten'. Sometimes I even use a combonation of both.
If you need any more information, I'd be more than happy to find some tutorials for you! Just let me know.

Thank you! This is a great help! And I've been trying to find some tutorials, but I've only found ones where you draw the fire yourself :S please could you help with that?

Hmm...well, usually it just depends on the lighting or relfectiong on the eye. Eye's are always so much easier to manipulate when there something bright like a window reflected in the eye. Have you tried dodging and burning it yet? If not, just give it a try and see what happens (that sounds very unprofessional, I know). (: And sometimes, you can try just blacking out the whole eye ekact for the reflection for a sort of dark/demonic look, too.
You can always visit my Simple Eye Tutorial for an easier and more customizable method, too. (:
