Description
Son of Gaia and Tartarus.Giant of the Abyss.
Born to oppose Hephaestus, Mimas had to fight against Hephaestus and Ares as well when his peaceful brother Damasen refused to participate in the war. The two gods and Hercules were finally victorious and managed to defeat Mimas.
Hephaestus with red-hot metal missiles from his forge hit the giant while Heracles and Ares ended up killing the giant, in some versions Zeus had thrown his lightning at Mimas, the most resistant giant that took three gods and the greatest hero to kill him.
Mimas has a particularly intense hatred for his brother Damasen, as the latter's unwillingness to fight Ares directly contributed to Mimas' defeat.
Like the Curse of Hephaestus, Mimas states that nothing goes right in his presence; maps are misinterpreted, devices break, data is lost, and "the best minds turn to nothing." Consequently, attacking it with an action plan will never work.
