Anywhere inside the gaming community, it takes a lot of balls to say that you like a particular game, gaming platform, or gaming genre, gaming franchise anymore without people getting the jump on you treating you like a lesser human being just because of what you like.

Really guys!? People need to learn how to calm the hell down already because they're just freaking video games! Seriously, I mention a game I like to somebody over the internet and five seconds later they go on for hours about everything they hate about the franchise, game, genre, or even to the point of making false generalizations of who you are as a person. Last time I checked, games were meant to be enjoyed, not taken under a microscope to point out every flaw and supposedly "send a message to the companies"

Seriously, I don't mind people disliking a game, but can you just let people play what they want to play? Despite how much I dislike certain games, I don't go off pestering everyone who likes it, I like what I like and I'm honest to myself just how I trust everyone else to be honest with themselves

I say I like Starfox Assult more then SF64 to someone, they go on about all the flaws of it, overexagerating them, and go on how I'm a fanboy now.

I say that 5th generation Pokemon is my favorite, both Pokemon and game wise. So instead of asking what I love about it, people already jump on me saying how everything is unoriginal and lazy

If you tell anyone anything redeeming about the Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts series, people will immediately retaliate about how it's an overrated series.

No, I don't mind harmless joking. I actually made a video I don't like anymore taking a lot of potshots at Kingdom Hearts, there were a couple fans who found it to be hilarious. I'm against the ones who just can't seem to focus on what they love about gaming anymore. About 90% of the gaming community over the internet these days are people who whine over games that probably doesn't even fit the genre they're into or just to fit in with the group of people that does the same shit.

For another message, instead of being so defensive about every little thing, how about you open your mind first to hear the other side of the viewpoint, that in reality makes you a much more informed player
