Another Codon Stream alien..sort of. Phosphyre was the DNA sample of a Pyronite, but is now something quite different.
When one of the Hexamatrix’s creators, Kobold the Evolver attempted to reach through universal barriers to obtain DNA from the Codon Stream, he encountered a kind of firewall put up by Azmuth that began leaking into Kobold’s technology, forcing him to cut the process short. Many DNA samples were either damaged or outright destroyed, including the Pyronite sample. To make it a viable transformation, the Hexamatrix hybridized what was left of the Pyronite sample with another similar sample from a Phosphorus based species known as a Hennibrandt. The resulting hybrid was quite unique, possessing traits and abilities from both. Phosphyre is the only Hybrid in the Hexamatrix, as hybrid samples are very unstable and take a large toll on the Hexamatrix.

Phosphyre has the ability to manipulate fire fueled by the massive levels of phosphorus in his body, giving his flames a blue/green color. He also has the ability to manipulate the various forms of the element within him to create delayed fire traps and fuses, toxic gas, as well as a unique ability dubbed “hearthfire” which is a low temp, phosphate rich flame that can ease and expedite healing. Phosphyre’s Pyrokinetic abilities are not as powerful as a standard Pyronite, though he can use them underwater unhindered. Phosphyre’s flames are beneficial to surrounding plantlife due to its phosphate richness, effectively generating fertilizer.
Phosphyre is capable of flight and can lift over twice his body weight.
As for weaknesses, Phosphyre is easy to track, as the phosphorus in his body gives him a bright blue/green glow. His abilities can be difficult to control due to the highly reactive nature of phosphorus. Though he can use his abilities underwater, he cannot breathe underwater.
