I promised to some people to do a watercolor tutorial for a long time. Now I finally did it. I'm not sure if this will be a help.Uh... I'm sorry for the grammar mistakes, English isn't my mothertongue x_x

noch n kleiner tip das du vllt einfΓΌgen kΓΆnntest ist dass man das aquarell "wegradieren" kann, fΓΌge wasser auf die betroffene stelle und tupf dann mit nem papiertuch ab. natΓΌrlich bleibt was von der farbe ΓΌbrig, aber das ist dann so blass, dass man ruhig mit ner anderen farbe malen kann

Scared of using water properly? I think that sums up my entire opinion on watercolors in one statement. I really appreciated this; it was thorough and detailed, and while it did have a few (the operative term being "few") errors, you still write better than most people (even grown adults) I know. Actually, I think I'm in the exact opposite situation of you, if your native tongue is German; I first learned English, now am (attempting to) pick up German.
But that's besides the point. What really matters is that this helped a lot, and now I think I can look at my watercolor set without feeling panic.

yeah that was my problem for a long time until I met a teacher who taught me not to be scared of using water. Thanks for your compliment

At my school, middle schoolers have to take a foreign language, either German or Spanish. I knew a German opera song before I had to pick a language, and I loved the sound of the language, so . . . That's how that happened.
I don't know if this is a dumb question or not, but have you ever used watercolor pencils? Is it the same process, do you know?

Das ist total toll!<33 Ich muss zur Zeit eh ein bisschen mit Aquarell und sowas ΓΌben, fΓΌr die Schule, aber bisher habe ich mich da nie richtig getraut..>///< Aber bei dir sieht sogar schon der erste Schritt total perfekt aus!<33 Trotzedm glaube ich, dass mir das schon ein bisschen geholfen hat, ich hab jetzt allein schon Lust drauf los zu malen! ^__^

This is a pretty good tutorial from whta I've just read trough ( I read 4 of the ones in watercolourlovers group). I'm gonna give it a try but first I need to figure out what my subject is.

hi, this is a wonderful turtorial! i would like to ask, can we just shade with a normal 2B pencil/mech pencil? because i get the feeling that sometimes when i wet a particular place, teh black of the pencil comes out a bit too. can u suggets any other pencils suitable for such a job? i like inking a piece, but i don't always have time to do it. so, for a fast job, pencil it will have to be~

Question, does your paper wrinkle at all? I use Canson's acuarela watercolor paper and a lot of the times they wrinkle. They look fine on their own but horrible when I scan them. I don't see a problem with all your works. Care to share the secret?
Also, do you use watercolor pencils?

Well, it doesn't actually. Perhaps the paper you use doesn't fit to your style? Either use another thicker paper or use less water. Or it's the scanner when you say that they look fine on their own >w< Sometimes it's better to take photos from watercolors but you need a good light situation to do so
I do have watercolor pencils but I don't really use them. But you can mix both media and it will work perfectly together!
