Please take my handlike you did when I was young.
Keep me close to you
to protect me across the busy street.
Though that traffic ridden street
now symbolizes my future.
So many different obstacles
that I must quickly overcome.
There is no easy way
for me to get through this.
There is no crosswalk
that I can safely take now.
So won't you just please
come with me and lead me?
Please direct me through
this hectic time in my life.
Please take my hand
like you did when I was young.
Keep me close to you
to protect me from the future.

angsty. sure. don't try to delegitamize my behavior because my age on my account. i have no doubt that i will continue to be abrasive and sarcastic well into my dotage. i hate bad poetry, not the perpetrators. and as for jealousy of her DTF, i believed i explained this before: it didn't ever occur to me to be jealous of someone because all their buddies stuck a favorite on something she wrote. certainly, i am not devoid of the emotion, i am jealous of such deviants as *catching ~carissima82 ~inebriate and *somedrunkblackspoon because they possess talent. and hey! they are all helping me improve my talent by leaving constructive comments on the work i submit. constructive comments are infinitely more useful than a favorite. but i wouldn't expect you to understand that.
