Description
Yet another Link and Mega Sableye picture. In Twilight Princess, remember how you had to put a rupee back into its chest because your wallet was usually full?
Well, Mega Sableye's 'rupee' might literally be too large to fit into TP Link's apparently dinky wallet. Link's wallet (in most Zelda games) is full anyway.

I suppose it is, seeing as there are ways in some games for rupees to get knocked out of your wallet. They'll usually be green and blue ones, even in the (at some points unlikely) event that you never picked up any green or blue ones.
Let's say you spend everything you had, then picked up a single orange rupee, and then run into some rats: You'll be dropping green and blue ones and scratching your head... "Hey, you dropped something!" "Hmm no I don't think those are mine..."
Also, change doesn't seem to exist in the Zelda universe. We can only suppose they just chip pieces off of larger rupees

Awesome! Couldn't help but laugh when I saw this; now I will never be able to think of Sableye's shield as anything else, and things will be the better for it

Glad to hear that! Though I'm not even close to the first person who thought of this.
Any person who's familiar with Zelda and saw Mega Sableye before me probably made the rupee connection sooner!

I imagine it will be a very popular thought. Still, this is the first instance of that connection I saw.

At least they started putting it back in the chest. I remember how annoying it was to open a chest in earlier titles and because I had a full wallet, the rupee (whatever value it was) just vanished. However at a certain point in the games you get to where there's nothing else to spend your rupees on even. And are you gonna keep paying for those challenging minigames when you've earned everything? Nope.

I don't think that really matters, since Link can carry a thousand rupees, each half the size of his arm. And he can also carry boots that are heavier than him without affecting his actual weight until he puts them on. I don't know what kind of magic fanny pack Link has, but I want it.

Since it's a crossover with pokemon I suggest "the same kind of "magic" as pokeballs have" as answer since we can easely carry Wailords (15 meters long if I remember) or pokemons like Groudon (more than 1T each) up to 6 at same time in little balls what can become even smaller to fit the belt or the pockets without affecting anything on the character himself xD

imagine a Zelda Pokemon crossover with Link traveling around with a Sableye? Here's many reasons why it would work. 1. When Link cuts the tall grass, he can get a heart. in Pokemon, Pokemon hide in the tall grass. 2. Link's wallet is always full of rupees. Sableye eat gemstones just like rupees, meaning someone who's wallet is always full of rupees would be a great companion. 3. no more reasons, i just like the idea

I hate these moments :_D When I have to leave my precious Rupees behind... However, after using my brain I'd say it's actually very nice. In any other Zelda game, you won't leave them, they just... Disappear! But in TP, you can go and get them later on! Though, I'm always too lazy to do that |D

Oohh yeah I remember now. Its been a while since I played Skyward Sword. Only beat that one once compared to the others I played so many times. But it was small and a passby though. Like if there were even like a jewel boss monster that be sweet.

Aww, poor TP Link! All that hard work of chasing that Sableye down and finally found out that his wallet was not big enough. :>
Out of curiosity, how much is a giant red rupee? 2,000? 20,000? 20 million?! No wonder why it cannot fit into Link's 999-limit wallet! XD

Yeah, I SOOOOO freakin' hate it when that shit happens in TP, just a REAL turn-off and the only way to negate it is to find a way to reduce your rupee quantity by either spending them or lowering them via the Magic Armor so yeah, overall so very annoying and the only way to bypass it is to get one outside of a chest so yeah, I SO feel your pain there, I really do...Β XD lol

funny howΒ he's able to fit all sorts of weapons somewhere, yet when it comes to rupees he's limited to them depending on the wallet he has.

Rot8erConeX In reply to Trifong [2014-06-28 15:50:44 +0000 UTC]
It actually makes sense from a programming perspective - whether or not you have a weapon can be denoted by a zero or a one - or a value from one to three if it's an upgradeable weapon.Β But you have to set aside an entire sixteen of those zeroes and ones just for a number that goes from zero to 65,535 - which is actually what the max cap on the 999 and 9,999 wallets is.
