I find it funny that on any item you rent from Ravio it has a miniature version of his mask on it because, you know, it's still his item. (too many its)
Too bad the mini Ravio mask disappears when you buy the item.

Thing is that major items are (always) in Dungeons, save in this game. Meaning that Ravio actually braved at least the Lorulian ones and got the items which he then sells. Yes ladies and gentlemen Ravio is actually a badass - he is a Link after all - , he just apparently doesn't have the courage to stand up to his princess and tell her off when she's gone completely loco!
