Description
This is a Nosferatu. These are vampires who are starved for blood and degenerate to feral monsters. They no longer have their more subtle powers like charming, turn to mist, flight, shape changing, but they are still incredibly fast and can even crawl up the walls as some vestigial power left over from flight. They are still as strong as vampires and even more agile but not too bright and insane. They do not talk and just hunger for blood and flesh. They do not have the ability to assume a humanoid form any longer, being completely given in to their feral instincts. They, of course, have all the same weaknesses as normal vampires.

Vampires often punish other vampires by imprisoning them until they turn into nosferatu. Some vampires turn their spawn into these and use them as fodder and watch dogs. Vampires consider Nosferatu vampires the lowest form of vamphyri.

The worst tales of all is when a good person turns into a vampire and resists the blood lust and goes mad and/or locks themselves up only to turn into these monsters. This is why ultimately there can be no good vampires, because you must drink the blood of the lamb for eternal life. The children of God do it through the Eucharist. Vampires must do this by drinking the blood of the children of God themselves since the Eucharist would kill them and because it is part of the covenant with the devil that has cursed their blood to drink the blood of the lamb through God's children. So, drinking the blood of bad guys doesn’t count as much and evil humans are poor nourishment and you slowly turn into a Nosferatu anyways. So inevitably there becomes a moral dilemma for a new "good" vampire, drink the blood of the lamb or die. Most kill themselves anyways, but some mistakenly lock themselves away only to make things worse. So what we learn in REAL vampirism is that there are no good vampires. The possibility destroys itself.

And no, animal blood is never any good and is just a slower decent to Nosferatu than normal. Animals are not the chosen children of God and do not accept the blood of god for immortality.

Apologies for the religious references but you must understand that TRUE vampires are tied to the religions of Abraham. Without some form of the religion, or some fantasy religion that seems like it, you do not have real vampires, just silly pop-culture tripe, which never counts.
