I don't mind much age difference to be honest ._. in a fanfic i've written the guy was in his mid forties and she was 20 ...
Love finds a way. Age is only a number, what really counts is the feeling.

Vanitas's canon age is so complicated, there's no way to do it without relying on headcanon. 
I don't mind age differences themselves; even, like you said, for very large age gaps, as long as the relationship is mutually consensual and the younger one is, like, 20.
What really bothers me is the whole pedo thing most people do.... Having older teenagers fall in love with young children, or full grown adults fall in love with kids. -.- Age isn't just a number, especially when it involves young people below a certain age having to cope with romantic relationships with adults. :/
It's kind of moot for this comic, since a lot of the KH characters' ages are so insanely screwed up; but the whole "age is just a number" argument really bothers me, because I've seen so much abuse (in both fiction and real life) happen because of people condoning that concept. *sigh*
...If we already had this conversation before and I forgot, I'm sorry! I'm a mess these days.

Its that thing with ages, taken for example the girl is 15 and the guy 23, thats not cool with me. Definitely not even though its only 8 years. But when the girl is 21 and the guy 29, suddenly its not that much anymore, even though its still the same difference. But as soon as the younger one is above the age of 20, i don't care about gaps of 20 years. But I think thats what you meant ^^
With KH pairings its all about headcanons anyways
