Description
WARNING!! HUGE ASS FILE!!I decided to make another tutorial. It's for painting skies in Photoshop. I has quite a few steps, but it's actually pretty simple. And, as it says in the last step, I learned how to do this just by thinking about it. I like making sun rays...That's why there are so many. I'll link to the final image in a bit.
P.S. If you use this, please think to my account or this tutorial.
[EDIT] Here's the final image.

This will help a lot, thank you! Also, I might be able to do this with a mouse, and that's saying something. Also can you use the same dodge and blend stuff on paint tool SAI? Just wondering because that's all I have right now besides MS paint......

I have no idea, I've never used that program. I would think you could, but the settings might be different.

Thanks for making this. I'll give it ago.
How do you get the sun rays to stay straight?
and also will it work if I do this with a blue brush to make it look earlier in the day?
Thanks again for it. c:

In the last steps it says "Click in the center of the sun, hold shift and click off the canvas." That's how you get the straight lines.
The blue will work, just makes sure that values are the same. A bright highlight , a medium light color, a medium and a richer darker color. For morning I suggest, pale yellow, pale yellow and pale sky blue. The can all be the same tone since the colors them self will change the tone.

You have to click download to get the full size image. That's why the text was so small.

Wow, I really like your take on how to make a sky.
It's very pretty but simple to do in your steps.
I always hate making skies.
The clouds look like cottonballs. XD

Hi there! I used this guide to make a background sky in an art piece of mine. It was a lot of help, and I thought it turned out okay in my hands. Thanks for the guide, it was easy to make a good background with it!
