Description Comical conceptual piece for an ad. So much fun to do, and a nice change of tone from my usual moody intense stuff...

you're asking a professional artist with over 2 decades in the business to come work for you for free? I'll be offended for him as you're clearly not worthy of a response. Love your work always Liam, death head 2 forever!!

This is SUCH a fantastic picture. I've kept it on my watch list since you posted it just so I can keep coming back and looking at it. There's TONS of character in this one, in the expression, the proportions of the face, and that absolutely stunning scar. Really top notch stuff!

heheheh...

And "more more more! ... plz.

( yeah i know ... no one pays yu for that ... Daam them dude ... i cant even imagine what would be a Whoole Grafic novel of God Killers ... All with every inch that killing detail quality of the center of this image ... ) ...

So !! You buyed after all the $999 Cintiq!! [link] As i told you !! DINT YOU !?

Must be ...

The center of This is what "that 80% 90% quality" that i always say that in every lil single thing yu do .. you should.

Yu are a real artist ...
be able of doing such amazing details in black & withe pencils or inks ...
And even bether in colors ...
Its a amazing gift dude .

Keep shaping it more and more yo!

COngrats !

have fun...

And take care of you healt do ya. <3

Well as adviçe .. and i have to warn and say this that

i'm reaaly sory to say that for a professional of "your level" ...

That also have some eyes problems as i do ...

Those lil 999$ portable cintiqs ... [link]

Dont do the trick cause yu will be gasping for details ... and to see things in a small display is not that good "at all" ...

So for you maibe you would have to chose a 3 times more expensive of 1999$ [link] with a biguer display ... and not portable at all ... well..

Unless yu are for speed painting stuffs like *nebezial

Yu do worst things - but with ahell more speed on the lil $999 one ...
( that yu can be in your living room with ya family conect your portable anywere and be on the sofa working lol... whats kind cute for a family man like ya that needs to hang out a lil more "out of its work room" )

But if you get youself with the a3 size display in front of you ...
on the 1999$ one ...

I have to warn that you will be dealing with yourself putting quality in what you do way too much ... even not noticing ...

The overall feeling ...

Using programs like Pixara Twisted brush [link] ... painter 11 and photoshop cs4 ...

Its as good as working in canvas with oils ... expecialy the biguest one ... the 1999$ biguer ...

And yu can direct those programs to behave and use the exact tecniques that you use in oils ... on the cintiq canvas ...

its a experiençe on its own ...

And yu can do ...

Pencil like job ... on Painter ...

Inks like job .. on photoshop open canvas [link] manga studio [link] and pixarra ...

And oil painting like jobs on painter , photoshop, and pixarra ...

But believe me the tablet acts in very diferent ways acording the program is used ..

And also its a whole world diferençe the aplication usages betwen the Portable 999$ one ... [link]

And the bigguer - [link] 1999$ ...

They are very diferent worlds ...
And they do kind of diferent tipes of art ...

--

Is good for a artist to think that ...
What he uses - influençes and put in whole new ways and whole new diferent level
its art style ...

So be aware of all that and think well on all that subjects ...
Before any buy ...

Cause its a livetime buy ...

A lifetime tool you are investing in .

--

I actualy have both LOL...

I have one tablet portable Pc .. for speed paints and Get Speed Painting on the car or the beach on watever ...

And i have one Cintiq of those biguest ... on the studio ...
That i'm still paying for tHAT ...
Monthly in works Depts to my family publisher xD

...

BUT DUDE ... Its changes you ...
And it changes your art "vision" ...

those Digital Canvas ...

Got "that" same feeling ...
Wen you are buying your first arquitecture table to work with ...

--

Go to a shoping center and test it out ...

But be aware that the programs that you use with it ...
Change a hell lot its functionalities and were yu can reach at ...
Its all on the calibrations and tilts and tools ...

And one thing that i miss In the tablet pc i got to one of those 999$ one ... [link]

its the draping on the canvas the surface of the screen in a cintiq has is micro pores to become more near the experiençe of drawing in paper

The tablet pc is like Drawing on glass or something ... yu dont have that control on what yu doing ......

So i reaaly think i should had buy both instead of buy a tablet pc and the biguer one ...

---

But its ok .. i dont have no one that will pay me for use "that" things fully anyway ...

So be carefull with that ...

Most professionals as Jim lee as example buy it .. and have one at the studio ...

Then artists go and say hey how cool and fancy ! ...

But for example no one uses it reaaly at wildstorm ...

What is kinda of Huu WHAT? ...

But its the reality ...

.. yu have to know how ...

And its of course not a big thing use it such a big screen to draw or paint ... with mspaint or just with phostoshop ...

But its just when yu use other programs like painter 11, pixarra , open canvas , and manga studio ( inks like ~ComiPa ) ...

Si only when you learn to use those alternative programs and use "alternative not common but advançed tecniques" ...

That you see what it realy can do for you ...

What probably just testing on the local wacom reseler store ...
Yu will not be able to aply it and see the real value of it ....

Unless you take your portable with all your fancy programs in to the local store and conect it to the cintiq to give it a test drive ...

But i reaaly would like to tease you to DO THAT ...
On those right ways think of all that
Wenever yu have time ....

Yu will see your art possibilities changing in ways that you never tought possible ...

Expecialy for a Old school traditional Canvas artist like ya and me ...

Having the proper "primed canvas" and proper brushes and ink pens ... is everything for us that "have loads of lifetime tecnique"on our heads ... [link]

And that does a hell of a diferençe ....
in what tipe of artist .. and in what kind of artistical head picks to do what in the primed unlimited digital canvas of a cintiq. ...

And i'm not selling ...
I would reaaly would like to see ...
the class of a artistical mind as yours ...
With teh proper programs with a cintiq canvas ...

i can give you sure that "yu" but only you can do things with your proper classic techniques ... in no time that only guys with acrilics and oils and airbrush on traditional art and with a hell of time spended can you know ...

Thats why i forçe so much That "tip" with ya sinçe the beguining ...

--

But beware the thing does not "that" function ... Without the proper programs and the proper "classical art" tecniques that yu need to know very well and crack a lil your head how to aply to that canvas and programs tools ... also

...

Yu can aply with a comon wacon pen ... the same things ...

But not so perfectly , not so naturally , not so fast not so steady ...
So you quit from using better and more classical art tecniques ... on a comon wacom pen ... because turn too much dificult exausting and time taking to ...

The cintiq does avery good platform if you are a 40 years old guy with 20 years of art below ya - it helps yu to merge all that tecnique in the most intuitive easy way ...

But you need to think and try alot programs and crack yourself to control with the cintiq ... better ways to use the tools .

Cause if yu have a Pixarra twisted brush, painter 11, open canvas, and photoshop ... dude .. witha cintiq every tool "is a world" to explore ...
And gives you a diferent look on what you do .

Just because the digital canvas merge it all so easy for you to ... artwork with without time wasting or "fears" limits ...

Your art opens that way ....
Because your fears of digital art desapear ...

:::::::::

I also think that giving cintiqs to your childs ... if you want them to be real greath artists in the digital domain ...

Its the best self learning pedagogical artistical gift you can give to them ...

Even if they are 8 years old they will be able to do greath amazing Art things out of it ...

And i think that summons all in resume of it !...

...
Hope the visions helped ..
have bunch of fun yo!

Queep dreaming and reaching high in your visions dude...
Without common mortals physical limits ...
Your creativity and ...
The tools that with your creativity you create to use ...

Does it all in a artistical life.

...

CHEERS!

Howard would probably like it! It's not commonly known - but REH had a great sense of humor. If you ever read his western series about Breckinridge Elkins- then you might be aware of his humorous side.

The first book in the series is called A Gent from Bear Creek. Its a hard book to find- been out of print for sometime- but a library somewhere may have a copy. The book would make for a great set of illustrations! (hint hint!)
