My goodness, your pencils make me jealous. Fantastic job as always Liam!
I find my comic style to be quite akin to yours, as I prefer to digitally color over pencils, rather than inks.

Thank you! It was great to take some time with this one. Usually I have to crack everything out too fast, or at least faster than I would like...

Very fine textural rendering, and composition. One quibble: The Captain's backpack is getting a bit lost in the rocky background. This is due to the values and textures being too similar in that area, preventing the foreground element to pop out from the background element.
But, nicely done!

Man I actually thought the STONE title was his back pack!, I'm just seen it as part of the backgroung and well...the backpack.
Nicely done, but yes, too much work on everything makes hard to find a center of attention to begin exploring the picture, therefore is easy to misunderstood it and to distinguish...the backpack
This kind of comments scare me alot, who knows in how many of my works I let go details like this one, just for being to entertained painting!!!
Still kickass!!

Hey guys.
You might not realize, but this was done on three layers, and each layer was coloured in photoshop - the end result is in my galley. I always knew it would be a separate element so I didn't need to distinguish it at the pencil stage. The three layers work together as a parallax effect on the iPad, so it's almost 3D. Fun stuff! Hope that clarifies! Otherwise - yup! You're both absolutely right!

Great piece. Inking this would be hard because of the incredible pencil work. Real nice job, how long did it take you to do?

Thank you! The pencils were two days work. The colouring another four hours or so. So two and half days, start to finish I think...
