Capt. Stone is Missing... is a new story created for Madefire (www.madefire.com) by myself and Christina McCormack. I LOVE where this is taking me, right through my styles from the late 1980s to today - this one, of course, is a faux-Bisley style circa 1991.Read the first five episodes for free on the Madefire app!

This cover is a delirious orgy of influences, Liam. The retro-scifi font and titling with the grindhouse comic weathering, to the goofy 90's costume color scheme and impractically enormous gun. I love the "The Tyranny of THE ANT WOMEN." Are you sure Roger Corman didn't produce that one?

Actually It Reminds Me More of Corben than of Bisley...to be Honest...especially because of the whole colour scheme You Use.....Even Though....A Great Piece of Work !

This reminds me of Richard Corben's 'Den', Libratorre's 'Ranxerox' stuff(I know its spelled wrong)and others.
Definitely has that kind of late 80's early 90's thing. Maybe thats why I like it. The whole Ant Women thing is great! A parody of parody! Would make a cool poster.
I will always be a fan of the era. I had a Heavy Metal subscription my entire adolescence. Its no wonder I am so twisted.

- Will be published by your own publisher ...
Or - with the spicy help of wild storm and dc ...
My very unique answer would be :
- SHOULD BE WITH THE BOTH ...
If i was yu i would first register in your MAMTOR That work ...
Then in behalf of mamtor i would contact wildstorm and dc - to make a "joinventure Publishing" ...
And i know that is giving your work away to the devil - with that Mamtor + DC Joinvemture for this amazing new Authorship Novel publishing ....
But as far this is amazing in marketing level Hitting with your Publisher name + Dc Name on the cover and hitting the shelfs worldwide in that one shot Mamtor + dc Publishing joinventure ...
MAN ! i'm waiting great things from this one ...
As far as i see its a pandora box , as from the same work yu can get "Fantasy like" those ant woman are fantasy .... As also SUPERHERO ... Worlds in 1 shot ...

Oh, Corben was the master! Den remains seminal I think, and Muvovum was even more beautiful to look at. I lent my copy to somebody over ten years ago and have never managed to find out who that was and get it back... Must track one down!

a lot of people post some odd comments on here: odd cause they dont give you the respect u deserve for totally nailing the style he got traditionally in a digital manner! ur eye for the little perfections and imperfections of the style are all here. it really does take mind to do such great work liam.

Thanks man. I've long been associated with Bisley, for better or worse, and it sometimes frustrates me that my own skills and style aren't more noticed. Biz took Sienkewicz, Frazetta and Corben into the mix to create his style. I'd include them in mine too, but also add Biz - even though technically I predated him in print.
