Looks incredible Liam, very tight. I'm gonna be working on a project that calls for this type of art, do you have any advice?

Oh man, I shoot so much from the hip. I'm terrible on advice, because I'm never sure how I get where I'm going... I sort of feel my way. But it's primarily down to understanding how light falls, and really knowing as much as you can about form and anatomy. You can't just make stuff up if you don't understand how the muscles, form and light works, otherwise it'll never convince. Other than that, be creative, and don't go for the obvious - as in my costume design here, which is a little - ahem - unusual...

nice work! MY favorite Conan is actually Barry Windsor-Smith's Conan, but not the BWS Conan from the early comics. I love the way he would later paint the great Cimmerian years after, in paintings and covers for collections, etc.

Yes, Red Nails and the black and white stuff he did for the early conan magazines are great too. Wasn't Red Nails black and white at first too? I have a color version that Marvel reprinted in the 80's and I also have it in one of those Dark Horse Conan reprint volumes in black and white...

Yeah, I think Red Nails was black and white. I have a ginat size colour edition too, colored by BWS himself, so it's gorgeous.
