The colour usage and shading are fantastic. It does give an air of 'rust' and 'iron' to it, which if the Holmes story your composing is set in the traditional industrial revolution, it would really work well in it!

It's The Greek Interpreter, so one of the classic shorts - which I hope we will follow up with more!

The intensity of this piece really draws in the viewer. I can't wait to see the finished product

You know I thought to myself "ooh he's kinda got a Sienkiewicz thing going on in these" as soon as I saw the thumbnails--and you're actually working with him! : ooooo Also I really like the look you have going on this one.

It's taken me a while to realize that you meant *that* Bill Sienkiewicz. No wonder there's so much epic going on with you two working together.

Hmm, not if we're talking about the Arkham City version -- [link]
Although if you're talking about the YJ version then yeah, totally.

Ha! I see your point! Honestly, though, I had no idea who Hugo Strange was... I don't really follow Batman, and I'm not a gamer. Bill didn't either! I was going from the Conan Doyle description of the character in The Greek Interpreter. But you're right - it could easily be Hugo Strange! Glad you like.

He's actually a very Moriarty sort of character, except his angle is a bit unhinged. He essentially figures out Batman's secret identity and wants to eliminate Bruce Wayne so that he (Hugo) himself can become Batman. He's also been associated with huge conspiracies like The Light (Young Justice) and the League of Shadows (Arkham City). I advise looking him up -- he's an interesting character, and one of the -not- totally bats**t insane, crazy, gimmick obsessed villains Batman's faced. Somehow those sorts of villains are the hardest to find in Gotham City.

Thanks for the background info! I've done a bit of a Google search - interesting character!

NP! And yes indeed -- although his brief appearance in the one TV show Batman: The Animated Series was rather laughable due to him having a Starscream-esque voice actor (as you can imagine, this resulted in him being in only one episode).
