Yeah, so...the TV21 Dalek Chronicles Golden Emperor...ol'balloon head...it is flipping impossible to get that design looking in any way intimidating...but I figure making it look a little less...um...spherical goes some way.Oh, and this, by the way, is why I'm so content with the Dalek Supreme now being white, rather than the traditional black. The original Evil of the Daleks Emperor had this rather spiffing white and black colour scheme, and coupled with the Imperial faction in Remeberance, white seems to be something of a royal colour for the Daleks. If you squint and don't push the theory over anything higher than a mole hill.
Terry Nation created the Daleks, Ray Cusick invented them and I honestly have no idea who's bright idea it was to give the TV21 Emperor such a big head...

Weird. I seem to be the only person who DOES find the large head intimidating. Who knows, maybe it can turn into a giant super gun. That would be cool

But the Emperor still looks good. I found adding grooves and ledges and bumps to the big-head Emperor's... head, made it look cooler. Which you did, and thus it's cool. Like the bump-collar. And just noticed now that the Progenitor Daleks have an eyestalk attached to a ball and not in that box thing the previous ones had.

Was this done after reading my comment on the Supreme, or is it just coincidence? Cause I think it's the latter, and that's kinda strange.

The key word there being 'metallic'... Heh. With the colours, it's just the sheer plasticy brightness of them. I'd have been fine a few years ago but after five years of bronze, it jars for me.

Thanks! I'm not sure it counts as genius, since it has been done several times before by better artists than me. I'm probably going to adjust bits of it but the overall look seems about right.

I have to admit, I didn't even know of Doctor Who until 2005 (damn my living in the States) but even now, after looking back at all the designs of the past, these are fantastic.

Mixed feelings. Lots of good bits and good ideas but all in all, too rushed and too much exposition left out.

It's just a fact I'm afraid, ANY Dalek Story should be AT LEAST two parts... the ep should have ended with the Dalek revealing itself

I hope so, the new Daleks SEEM very awesome but we've barely seen them in anything besides a few one-two scene... I suspect that if we actually got an ep with them actually doing something fans might actually warm up to them more
