Description
In 1992, Admiral Software released a hilariously ill conceived arcade game based on Doctor Who called 'Dalek Attack'. I believe it is widely held to be stupidly difficult and I know it features the Doctor running around zapping enemies with his sonic screwdriver. It features the Daleks mounting an all out attack on Earth at the command of Davros (their emperor in that continuity. The game sprites for the Daleks themselves are somewhat malformed and this served as the basis for this latest entry in Project Infinity. I started with the rounded skirt and the three rows of hemis, working up with the thicker gunstick and arm and the two-ring neck section. As I was building it this week (I started this on Monday, it is now Friday, sometimes the speed with which I can build Daleks now scares me), I realised that a neat thing to do might be to incorporate elements of the old 'ride-in' Dalek, which is where some of the styling and the crest in which the eyestick is fixed come from.
I resisted the urge to detail it overly, keeping it fairly simply in fitting with the game sprites that inspired it. Only two colour schemes at the moment: grey soldier and red hoverbout pilot, but maybe more if I sit down and watch a play-through and spot something interesting. No promises to build the giant rolling death machine boss, but I suppose I shouldn't rule it out.
Daleks belong to the Terry Nation estate. This variant was inspired by the Dalek Attack game from Admiral Software. The model and image are mine and I would appreciate no one 'borrowing' it without permission. Permission will likely be given for non-commercial use so for goodness sake feel free to drop me a note if the mood takes you.

Do you model these yourself? If not, the way you use them is cool.

I looked into that game it's pretty nuts. Daleks have henchmen consisting of Mimes, mummys and more. Also the time lords seem to be running a store for the purpose of selling the Doctor firearms and smart bombs.

And that's without getting into the random appearances by a mini-Godzilla and that one boss that is a carnival dragon . . .

Yeah Davros has a hell of a lot of strange characters on his payroll.

They were indeed, on the final level.
I have to say, I'm not overly fond of that design. But it would be an interesting one to model, so I should probably give it a go!

Coming just as soon as I re-render them. Haas some mistakes in the first set, unfortunately.
