Description
I highly recommend playing this superb piece of music in the background, I've been using this as a guide whilst working on the extended animation - [link]First 40k triage, now this.... I'm currently working on a Warhammer 40k animation project, entirely for my own enjoyment.
This piece started out as an attempt to do an exposition of some of my fluff in a 1980 Hitch-hiker's Guide style animation.
I did that, and may share that later, but this is what started out as the "front end" of it - inspired by the monochrome screens of my yoof
Much of this was done frame by fame and the skull and cog was hand drawn
There will be a lot of Delia Derbyshire inspired music in the soundtrack

Good music, but this is potentially more relevant.

I don't know if I knew about that song at the time when I made that comment.ย Now, though, I've got an even better option:

Thank you very much, very kind! Let me know if you get anywhere with the iPad. I've lost the original files so can't make that any easier unfortunately. Going to have to redo it one day...

Hey man, could I possibly bug you into making this a gif for me? I've got a very tech savvy friend who might be able to make this into a functioning Rainmeter background. Gotta say, I faved this awhile back and I keep coming back to look, I friggin love it

That shouldn't be too much of a problem. I'm happy to do it but I'm super busy so as long as you don't mind waiting a little I'll do it as soon as I can.

Anything ever come of this request? I took a pop at making it into a GIF myself, figured I could forward you a copy in case anyone else asked for one, but unfortunately importing the flash file into FlashPro borks it completely(everything's displaced, background goes pure white, bottom-right text doesn't appear) and you used a font I don't have myself. It's such a great animation to have for Dark Heresy/IN28 games, but our group's resident "techpriest" is an Apple fanboy so swf files are no go :/

It's been 3 years so you probably figured out a way already, but on the very off chance that you didn't and my insight is still useful, you could download this youtube video here www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tj6UOโฆ and convert it to gif, that's what I did.

I'm afraid not, I've just not had the chance to look into it unfortunately. I also lost all of the original files back in November so I'd have to start from scratch

i keep coming back to this in my little dream project (make a tablet into a funktioning Dataslate!) - I wonder if on could make this into a live wallpaiper??
Also I like the style, so mesing with some icons to replace the normal ones...
Kinda uphill project as its very nerdy and theres not a lot of support going around xD

I'm sure there'd be a way of doing it somehow, a friend of mine was looking at something similar in python I believe. Let me know if I can help with anything, if you want still images or different formats etc. I'm hoping to work on this some more when I get the chance...

well for instance android cant play swf files, but can play avi, mp4 and mov. The other live wall paipers are mostly done in RenderScript (RS). Iยดll try to convert this into a mp4, and see if I can add it as a object in a live wallpaiper - Iยดll be in touch when I have more
Once I got a live wallpaiper for tablets, its time for icons - something more wh40k - maybe differnt fonts... all in the name of the Emperor ^^
lol no, but theres a lot of work to do and reading to be done to make this
One thing if for sure though- it will be totally free!

Would you want something less intrusive for a wallpaper, as this on repeat in the background could get a bit much lol. Perhaps a steady fade/glow on the skull would look good, along with other "network connections" in the corner still or similar, some small movement that's not too distracting, but is still visible.
I can export as avi and mov no problem.

I took the liberty of downloading this and using my laptop and HDMI cable to put it on my 52" tv- when one of my Dark Heresy players (the Tech priest) accessed the ship main cogitator to inload the damage suffered from a torpedo hit - took everyone by surprise and left the player stupefied, until he exclaimed: " Omnisiah be praised! The literny worked!!" -just awesome stuff man, keep it up.
