Description A selection of possible miscellaneous symbols that may go on the transfer sheet, mentioned here [link]

The ones with the Mechanicus cogs are meant to represent some sort of pharmaceutical production, which I imagine the Biologis lot of the Mechanicus would be involved with in a joint endeavour... The "Omega-Mu" is just a quick way of indicating Officio Medicae, I would have preferred to use lower case letters but it didn't work quite as well.

Again these are only rough drafts just to give the general idea

In the mood to nitpick, sorry.

Officio Medicae would be 'Omikron-Mu' (pronounced 'Mee'). Take it from a Greek, if you will. This -> 'o' is an Omikron, while the character in your symbols is a capitalized Omega. There is no equivalent to the Omega in the Latin alphabet.

I love the work you've been doing with the lore. Games Workshop is intentionally vague with this kind of information, which is all the better for those of us who enjoy filling the gaps

Lol, I was waiting for someone to make that comment. I used to take Greek lessons from a lovely lady from Euboea lol, so that was something I was already aware of. I chose the omega as a stylistic choice to reflect GW's liberal penchant for it.

I thought if I used omikron ot would just be "OM" and as that's just the same initials (or Om as in Sanskrit mysticism...), I decided to use it in a pretty liberal way as GW does to create a logogram that looked a bit more 40kish, rather than being an accurate representation of a language not actually used in the setting directly... that sounds far more pretentious than I meant it to lol.

Should have put that in the description, rather than just mentioning the use of the uppercase Omega as I did :/

Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it

As much as I like the cog symbols, I don't think I'd trust a Tech-Priest with healing me, they'd probably just decide my damaged liver was irrelevant and should really be replaced with an internal cogitator.

It's not meant to be them doing the healing per se, but alas if you're having bionics you're going to have some dealings with one, and as I said above, this symbol is realted to the *production* of pharmaceuticals

I know, just felt like making that observation for its own sake

Are there any fluff references to what pharmaceuticals are in use by the Imperium? I've heard of morphia but that's it, usually the healing process is described as "and then he got bionics."

Lol, sorry early morning browsing shouldn't be allowed. I have no idea, possibly somewhere, most of my fluff consumption these days is by osmosis Ahhh, I hadn't heard morphia mentioned, but invented Serpahine as an equivalent. Yeah the details are usually hazy aren't they, hopefully my over-detailed fluff will rectify that...

Osmosis?

Thats what us fans are for, filling in the gaps for GW without pay or fame.

Wait a minute.....
