Description Some time ago I created a graphic for the Officio Medicae - [link] - to go with the new 40k medical fluff I was working on, but later realised I needed a simpler variant that was clear, distinct and regonisable even at low sizes (and also to be turned into transfers for objective items and vehicles... watch this space).

So I had a tinker around and came up with some variants. This one was intended to mirror the standard design for various Imperial organisations and offices ("I with Circle"). A little more straightforward than Variant 1, this simply includes my form of the asclepius within the "I". Less unique, but more instantly recognisable as being "medical".

It's still only a rough version, so feedback is welcome.

Looks like a symbol for a Inquisitorial Ordos dedicated to medical science, perhaps a Radical organisation that seeks xenos technology to improve Imperial medical care-neat!

Although the I is used by many branches of the Imperium, the air time given to the Inquisition does tend to mean that that's what many think of when they see an I in a 40k context - but I like that idea and glad you like the design

Ah right, I didn't know that it was the official symbol for Imperial institutions-but thanks and no problem

To be fair I'm not sure if they still print them anywhere, they're still on certain transfer sheets, a Lexicanum still lists them too.

The most reliable source I see you used one on your Adeptus Administratum record

Best place for it

It looked really good

If you like fluffy stuff I'd definitely recommend checking out a friend's blog, the Palladian Guard, a couple of good fluff documents here [link] and here [link]

If you see a reference to Headologist, that's me lol

Aside from all the codexes of course-then again, some of them have pretty stupid information we shall scour from our minds

Thanks! It's the result of several years of tinkering with an old Guard regiment I created and have now remade-I'm working on writing for them now

Roman Mordians? Hmmm! This is pretty damn cool, thanks for the link

Ah yes, I saw some designs and fluff on your DA page and in that blog for Anglo-Saxon themed Space Marines: details, if I may be so presumptious?

Lol I'll put some stuff together on the Spears of Mawdryn, very much Welsh-themed (6th century with elements of Iron Age celts and medieval Welsh tactics). I've got loads of fluff for them, but not yet arranged it in a way that's easy to read for normal people lol

Welsh/Anglo-Saxon: I was close enough

I'm not exactly the most normal of chaps, give us a chance to decipher the fluff!

Nothing rough about this. As an ex Army medic, I've always had an attraction to the Officio Medicae and I think this one nails it better than the skull-and-ouroboros version.

Thanks very much, I'm from a medical background myself so that's much appreciated (would have been a CMT, but ironically not quite up to scratch medically myself )
