Description This picture is of Ren from "Ren & Stimpy" show episode of "Happy Happy, Joy Joy" I do beileve, in where Stimpy somehow grows a few brain cells to order a brainwashing device to make Ren feel better, because he was really sad and depressed. Ren is complacent until the device makes him dance to the "happy happy joy joy" song. At that time he becomes aware of the helmet's existence and self inflicts pain to be rid of the brainwashing device.

The first amendment does not apply to websites or companies that are not run by the US government.

Another thing to keep in mind, is that Freedom of speech doesn't grant you a venue.

"The first amendment does not apply to websites or companies that are not run by the US government."
BS.

"Another thing to keep in mind, is that Freedom of speech doesn't grant you a venue."
More BS.

"Can websites censor things I say online?

We are often asked this question from potential clients who have had their Internet messages or postings removed by forums, message boards, website operators or ISP’s.  Unfortunately, as noted above, the First Amendment only applies to government actors, and not to private website operators.  Therefore, assuming the website is acting on its own, and not at the request or on the behalf of some state or federal government authority, no First Amendment right is violated.  However, a customer’s relationship with a website is usually governed by a set of “Terms & Conditions” that are agreed to during the registration or access process.  Those Terms & Conditions will usually identify the grounds for removal of communications or termination of the customer’s account.  Such user terms and conditions are usually enforced by the courts."

Oh look at that, I shot down both of your cries of "BS" in one shot.

well it looks like it's time to add another amendment to the bill of rights.

Wow. That's some ironclad logic. "The constitution won't let me run roughshod over a private entity's right to govern itself and it's content! We should change that!"

I really don't understand how you derived, "The constitution won't let me run roughshod over a private entity's right to govern itself and it's content! We should change that!" from my comment of wanting to add an amendment to the Bill of Rights.

What I'm saying is that standard citizens should be free to state their opinion less it be hateful, violent, derogatory or a lie (I'll never be for that kind of speech). That private citizens shouldn't be able to be fired for speaking their mind or attempting to post something funny or insightful or for even "like"ing something on facebook that a private company disagrees with.

A citizen's rights end where another citizen's or entity's rights begin. I.E. A terms of service contract, like the one everyone who signs for for sites like dA agree too.

If you get mouthy at someone's house and say something they don't like, or something they don't agree with, they're within their power to make you leave. No amendment should ever be made to change that.

So basically you are agreeing that, for example:

Bill works for Jack.

Bill says he hates The Beatles and he says they sound horrible.

Bill said this on a Facebook post off work hours.

Jack fires Bill because he can fire him for any reason.

Except that Facebook isn't Jack's place of business or home.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

More atrocities have been carried out by those "just following orders" then by those that advocate thought, rebellion, and resistance.
