I like how all of my favorite teams are all *Good* (Lawful, Neutral and Chaotic good).

Lawful's by their natures follow the "rules" succinctly that they would not knowingly help any of those in the "other side" short of not letting them die.
This is why they get so furious at the end of Sonic Heroes.
Neutral know how to play both sides.
Chaotic are flighty and you don't always know what they might do.

was merely finding it humorous to see that team "Chaotix" were not in "chaotic", despite their team name implying so, but I do understand why they are in "Lawful", I just found it humorous to point out

Knuckles is Lawful Good, which is why he and Sonic would argue so much in the old days - Sonic was Chaotic Good. Silver was designed to be a naive Paladin type (he badly wants to do the right thing; his main failing at the time was getting the sides mixed up) so he would also be Lawful Good.
Over time, Shadow has started to work for GUN so now he's Lawful Neutral thanks to his shaky moral methods of getting the job done at any cost.
As a robot, Omega is True Neutral since he's still developing his personality.
Chaotix are Neutral Good since they'll work for any GOOD cause - Vector mentions that they'll take on any work that pays, but ultimately Eggman isn't a cause they support.
As a prospective world ruler, Eggman is Lawful Evil, or possibly Neutral Evil due to his methods of conquering. Metal Sonic is sufficiently unreliable to remain Chaotic Evil.
The Babylon Rogues don't seem to be evil, just antagonistic; they most likely belong as Chaotic Neutral.
