This is totally awesome! Reminds me of Gundam and Zone of the Enders!

Hey! looks pretty nice dude X3. A year ago I was doing texture hacks on Megaman X Command Mission which actually does remind me of something.

Edit: I found what I was looking for if you saw the previous message about one of the little hacks for the game you made. I'm really curious though, how do you make such codes for games like adding a max number of each item? I like trying to break games and stuff nowadays and finding what's hidden in them or glitching them up.

It is kind of complicated to hack videogames.

Really you should start with Gamecube or Wii (not the red mini wii or a Wii U) that supports Gamecube as that is probably the easiest way to get into code hacking.

You'll need a video input card for your pc. or a way to get like a mini crt tv next to your desktop PC. second method is preferred.

Also i recommend a secondary dedicated Ethernet port on the PC.

you'll also need a copy of Phantasy Star Online for Gamecube, but i think there's a way now that doesn't require it.

Gamecube or wii is going to need an Ethernet port.
you're not going to want it over wifi because things can happen.

After you get all those things there are some programs you'll have to download and some steps to go through to get into a code hacking \ code finding mode.
doc.kodewerx.org/tools.html#gc…
Basically all the GCN tools except SD loader and the ASM one.

Now in terms of finding codes I'll rank them from easy to hard:
- Value changes (health Magic, bullets, # in inventory)
- flag change (clothes change, timed powerups, enemy encounter )
- Identity change (mainly for rpgs and the characters.)
- Music type
- Height change (ascend and falling)
- Speed Change (best if the surface is flat. awesome if the character has variable speed eg tiptoe, walk, run)

the last thingΒ  will say is that if you are looking for a code, you have to be looking for only ONE THING.
If your looking for health of one character, only change that characters health.

When you have 10 results it's alright but not optimal. Record all of the address each time before you change them.

If you get 5 or less that's wonderful but still not perfect.

if you can get it down to 1 sometimes that's the one that needs to change, or sometimes it crashes \ hangs everything and you have to start over.

Okay, I'm gonna copy and paste all this.Β

Shoot, but the second ethernet port will be hard x.x argh.

I've only had experience with looking for value changes and the reason I asked for help was because I've finally hit a wall when it came to megaman x command mission, which was exp....even though I found a single value or even a few that were increasing by the amount of experience, while using an item to keep exp from being shared to the party, raising it did nothing to the current experience the character had. I realized the only way would be to use more specific tools like the ones you provided.

I can see how phantasy star would be a great place to start thanks to values being already displayed and what not.Β

Thank you so much dude >o< I super appreciate this because it was hard to find info like this without running into a lot of walls on the way x.x

well you only really need PSO to launch the actual game hacking tool, hacking PSO is not recommended for first time hackers.

Often times for MMXCM i found that there was a mask for the identifiers.

So in essence:
Mask Exp ( is what the player sees, you can change this but it's not going to impact anything )
Actual exp ( what the game is working off of. This one updates the mask Exp)

Also changing a value and not seeing it updated is often because you have to force a refresh of the system. like opening and closing the menu or getting into a battle to have it trigger.

also in older games this is not the case. I think this was merely implemented to deter hacking.

Command Mission was too rpg and not enough Mega Man ish for me.
As an RPG it's okay.
It only has 3 Sub Quests, most rpgs have 30.
As a Mega Man game it's pretty awful.

RPGs are like rasins, they always taste good and never go bad.
Mega Man games are like Chocolate if you get too much you get sick.

This game is like Rasinets, and Sonic is the "Red Bull & Mtn Dew" you wash it down with!
