I randomly went to see Inception last night. I went out with the intention of purchasing eggs and came back 2 1/2 hours later with the eggs. Aren't you proud of me.Anyway, I really did like it the first time around. I felt like I was being jerked around a little bit as a member of the audience though. Like "Hey, we'll be really vague so you'll think it's deeper than it actually is. Look! An unfinished sentence! A loose-ended allusion! Isn't this movie deep?" But the special effects were mind-boggling. My favorite overall scene was the anti-gravity fisticuffs in the hotel. Either that was some beautiful wirework, or I need a kick to wake up.

Yeah. And let's face it, if she hadn't been a plot device, someone else would've had to be. Otherwise you'd have two options: A) The characters repeat to each other what they already know, making them seem like idiots. B) The audience would have been like, What? (...Even more than they already were, I mean.)

Dude, I think she might be my favorite character... Maybe. Although Michael Caine ALWAYS ROCKS ALL SOCKS. You know, her name's all cool, because in Greek mythology, Ariadne is the one who has the string that leads you through the labyrinth. She gives it to Theseus to help him (but then when she goes with him, he abandons her on an island and she's super-sad).
Um, yeah... Anyway, though, I really liked that they let her care about Cobb and they didn't make it gross. She stayed classy through the whole movie. Which was freakin' awesome.

Lol! Pretty much. I kept whispering "Are you stupid?!" In the theater. But I really did like the concept of an architect! So cool!
