can't sleep... this is my first tutorial, so it's not the bestbut I hope it's well enough to make you understand how simple it is to create some detailed abstract shapes
it's for cinema 4d but actually this is possible in almost any 3d-program

a 2d-texture with lines, boxes, points, numbers, etc.
then bumpmap with the same texture
play around

whoa. how to you go from the second last step to the last step? i think I know what you've done, but I have no idea how to make something like that! what textures are you using, and how?

Good tut! Could be done much easier with boole's though.

eghh i'm no so sure, boole's tend to fuck up a lot of the unique portions of a model.
