There were a lot of things with guns throughout history, unfortunately no one seemed to be all that good at making practical ones.

well the most practical one was the most simple one, which is pretty much just attaching a knife on the barrel of a gun

I agree, the one's that saw most use were either blades mounted to guns, hence bayonets, or another was a gun mounted to the blade of a sword, the one I recall most clearly belonged to a navel officer and the barrel pointed down the blade
