It wasn't clear how long they fell or how long they'd been laying there but it the sky was full of stars before anyone even began to stir. It was the wild female who moved first - lifting her head weakly and looking around. Their ground was made up of uneven chunks of snow, broken branches, rocks and a single tree dragged into the mess. Despite the low light, she could see splatters of blood across the snow. As she got to her feet and looked back she found the three other figures sprawled as they'd fallen but not moving.
