Atoya had returned to the same mountains she'd last tried to tame within - this time searching for familiar Tokos. Diagrams hadn't been seen for months by anyone. She was the last to see the beloved half mane and so felt responsible for finding him. It was unlike Diagrams to not at least be seen by a handler visiting the wilds. He held no fear of humans and seemed eager to teach wild Tokos to bond with humans. His absence was felt across all of Tokotna.

Galaxy, the wild she'd been trying to persuade to come with her, had been tamed by another not long after the group had been forced apart. The white and grey piebald Toko had also disappeared into the winter wilds though injuries he'd received made the handler worry that he hadn't survived. Ultimately she wanted to find him but she would need Diagrams help for this.

For this journey she brought along a little Toki by the name of Truly. She was helpful - she knew the methods and had the right disposition for approaching wilds. Furthermore, she'd offer a level of protection despite her tiny stature. They had barely begun their journey into the Yakone pack's mountains when a snow storm began to pick up. The snow came down so thick it forced Atoya and Truly to find a safe spot. The best the handler could find was a small dip that offered some protection from the wind's that whipped the snow around.

Atoya settled down on a snow covered rock, using the snow pile's depth to make a 'chair' to support her back and relax a little while they waited. Truly whined softly, eyes scanning the edge of the 'ravine'. Her ears folded back and tail tucked beneath her when a familiar dark form appeared above them.

Atoya's breath caught in her throat.

"... Diagrams?"
