Story:
    An enemy mage attacks Byleth with Aircaliber, which she dodges, then Fire, which she blocks, but as she comes dashing out of the smoke created by the explosion, she gets frozen in her tracks by Fimbulvetr, the most powerful of the anima magic spells. (Besides Forblaze I guess.)

Looks like she won’t be moving again until she gets a Fire Emblem to melt her way out of this.

Notes:
Yeah, this one was in my backlog for a super long time. Like I think I started it over 2 weeks ago. At first Byleth was supposed to be being attacked by Weiss instead of some random offscreen character, but then I realized none of the angles I was planning really showed off the attacker at all, so I decided to scrap the attacker and just use laser beams.

I like how the shot of Byleth running out of the smoke looks, but the run cycle itself isn’t great. The first half looks good, but the frames where her right leg is leading is pretty bad, especially with her arm motion. But the shot is still pretty cool with the low camera angle as the laser shoots overhead. I like the blocking effect too. The frames feel a bit weak if you look closely, but because Byleth gets covered by the smoke so quickly, it's pretty easy to overlook.

The ice effect didn’t go super well though. The color of it looks a bit washed out, and Byleth’s eyes have some weird distorting on them that the rest of the model doesn’t, which makes it look like she’s cross eyed or something. Not quite sure what’s up with that. I tried turning down the IQR and that helped, but it’s still kinda funky.

The story was another one of my “idk what to write and I’m posting this in 5 minutes” stories. It’s just lucky that the spells happen to match up with the colors of the lasers I picked. Thunder for the first spell probably would have made more sense, but I was watching Star Wars stuff when I made this and was really into green lasers.
