When I first went looking for Legion fanfic, I rolled my eyes at the amount of Gabriel/Audrey stuff -- their only interaction in the movie was choking each other out in the backseat of a cruiser before making an abrupt exit through the windshield. But the fanfic authors really gave them both new life, and now they're one of my favorite couples in fiction.From the top down:
Audrey's huggin' on her angel because he sort of always looks like he could use a hug. As someone married to a big guy of her own, it's hard not to want to hang off them for fun.
Audrey slices a cake with one of Gabriel's blade feathers. Anybody who gets the MST3K reference has my love.
And Gabriel continues his campaign to get Audrey to give a crap about philosophy (as begun in Ghosts of Babylon ), but she'd much rather stick to her novels. She's reading Chris Moore's Island of the Sequined Love Nun.

Island of the Sequined Love Nun is a brilliant book. Before I even read the description of your sketches I knew what book it was by the cover, haha! Well done!

Well, I finally watched it.

It's all I got so far, but it was a loose end from the film that was bugging me too much to ignore, so I went with it.

Whoa. That was intense, and extremely well-written. You know, I thought about that, too! The fact that he just left his wings in a heap in an alley? That's something to stumble across.

It's not done yet, I had a few ideas on the girl (who I have yet to name) stumbling around for a while wondering what the hecks going on and why she can't take the collar off and why the black-eyed people aren't trying to hurt her any more, etc, etc.
It's still a work in progress, and I want to try and get at least another chapter or two before attempting to post it any where else.

Oops! Looks like I need some clarification. Tanner's her dog, I was trying to figure out how animals fit into the whole mess, so I had her running with her dog until he intercepted an attack, but I took out that chunk cause it didn't seem to fit as well in the context.

Ahhh... That makes sense, actually. I just assumed she liked to wear collars. That was the thing to do when I was in high school. Aw, but now I'm wondering what happened to Tanner. :C

Heh, I still have the collar I used to wear, it just became too cumbersome to bother with.
And I'm thinking Tanner was either badly injured or just out right killed, since he intercepted a killing blow meant for his person.
I'd like the two to get back together at some point, though, cause a good dog is a girl's best friend. Well, anyone's best friend, really.
Maybe he was rescued and is defending someone's orphaned child...

Baw I love the first one. ;-; I'm a tall girl, but I'd love for someone to hang off of my own. There's so much comfortable affection in that sketch, it makes me grin like an idiot.
Also, the little angle of her feet looks almost a little caricatured to me, and I adore that. It's endearing.
PlusAlso, the dialogue in two makes me want to write that. I have the best time picturing Gabe's face as he says that. : D

I love this couple! And I love the way you draw them. I don't think I would have gotten into reading about them because much like you I rolled my eyes at the pairing. I loved Gabe in the movie, I don't think I would have loved him as much if I hadn't read Ghosts of Babylon first so THANK YOU for introducing me to that story and THANK YOU for drawing so beautifully.

It is really amazing what good writers can do with characters like them. Because they weren't really a BIG part in the movie. Just supporting characters really. The more I read good fanfiction about them the more I love them.

Yeah when he arrived I got excited and was practically bouncing in my seat. XD I agree with you that she definitely had more importance than Jeep. I mean she was the very first to hold the baby. I loved how she was brave enough to try and choke Gabe.

I'm not smart enough either 8D I read 50-60 pages of it a week and could not give you even the main idea, then I go to lectures and the prof explains everything, and you find out it's actually incredibly fascinating!
