So I broke down and watched Legend, and that same night had a vividly romantic dream about Tim Curry as Darkness. As you do. I can't be the only good girl who has a crush on the devil, can I?I didn't care for the movie aside from Darkness, and was especially put off by the character Lily, so I wondered who would be appropriate to pair with His Evilness. Saint Agape (of Barbucci & Canepa's Sky Doll) just kind of inserted herself, and she's perfect. She's an embodiment of goodness and sacrifice, of sensuality and a pure heart -- and they still have things in common. If Darkness is going to fall in love with someone, I want it to cripple him. I want him to be completely defeated by her. I want him to give in. That's what good love does to you.
I would almost guarantee that these two have never been drawn on the same paper together. I also almost guarantee (less confidently) that this is the last time I'll be drawing Darkness. But I said that about Bowie, so. You never know.

P.S. Totally wouldn't blame you if you never drew Bowie again. He's a bitch to draw because he's so fucking perfect. Don't know what your reason is, exactly, but ... lack of time and skills kind of made ME go "Fuck it!" haha

This picture made me curious, so I went and watched Legend. Terrible movie, clearly just trying to cash in on the fantasy fad of the 80's.
But like Labyrinth, it's saved by the villain.
And goddamn is Tim Curry a sexy devil!
I don't get what's wrong with these girls in these fantasy movies, I'd totally want to be the Queen of Darkness!

yeah in the theatrical release they take out important plot elements like the actual relationship between jack and lily(she's a princess or something apparently but in the theatrical she's just a pretty girl) And the soundtrack is totally different too. I still find her kind of annoying but after watching the full movie I liked it much better. And the scene where she's dancing with the dress will stay with me forever

I'm definitely in love with this right now. I can't stop looking at it. What turns me on to it, I think, is Darkness kneeling. Humble and submissive. That's definitely something you don't see everyday, and Agape is a wonderful figure to place opposite him. This is just wonderful.
