I started this the same time I started "The Kite Flyer". But lost interest. I was not sure I liked the mountain pathway, but that was how I envisioned it. I went to finish it a few times, but lost interest. Found it in the back of my closet not to long ago, and made myself finally paint in the hummingbird. So there you have it.... Inherited Memory. The title came from lyrics in a Chemical Brothers song I liked.24 x 36 Oil

From the bells trailing from the Hummingbird. To the gateway to a better place.
That and the subdued pallette. with a smidgeon of brighter colors. It really is soothing to my eyes.
Wonderful painting. I'm glad that you finished it. I've got a few in closets like that waiting for me to finish them someday.

I was totally surprised that so many people liked it. Really. I had to look at it in reverse the other day in wonderment of the response. Looked better that refressed image, but still. Not one of my personal fav's. I wonder if it will ever sell.
