Famous first words:Β Oh no, Mel... Ah, that was a nice nap! Now down to business... I'm a bit worried about the temporal flicker in sector thirteen... There's a bicentennial refit of the Tardis to book in... I must just pop over to Centauri Seven and then perhaps a quick holiday... Right, that all seems quite clear, just three small points, where am I? Who am I? And who are you? The Rani! Stay back!

Famous last words: I gotta stop... him!

...Why is this not how Doctor whooves is portrayed normally in the fandom? I mean, seriously, with The Whole Cartmel master plan thing in season 26, as a manipulative chessmaster, he'd stick out from the other friendly characters in Equestria in a really interesting way.

Sorry, I just got to post this.

Davaros:Β The Daleks shall become Lords of Time! We shall become all-

Seventh Doctor:Β Powerful! Crush the lesser races! Conquer the galaxy! UNIMAGINABLE POWER! UNLIMITED RICE PUDDING! ET CETERA, ET CETERA!

Your work is uniformly brilliant, but due to their special place in my little Whovian hearts, I just love what you've done with Seven & Ace that extra little bit. Now I want somepony to animate a ponified "Remembrance of the Daleks" using your character designs so badly it hurts.

Well, in the lineup he at least has shortness.

Excellent Seventh, here. Him and Ace... one of the best teams in Who. Also starring in my favorite Who episode of ALL time.

McCoy's in The Hobbit. How awesome is that? And as for the Seventh Doctor, I may own one story of the guy on DVD but even then, I like him alot. He's another favorite Doctor of mine.

Sweet! Who's he gonna play? (Also: yet another reason for me to go see The Hobbit.)

Movie-Man In reply to LissyStrata [2012-05-20 17:46:31 +0000 UTC]

He's playing Radagast the Brown, a wizard. Kind of fitting, don't you think?

Here's the best part, according to Christopher Lee; the character will be important for both parts (yes, the film is split into two).

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SomeKindaSpy In reply to Movie-Man [2012-10-23 04:05:12 +0000 UTC]

Now, I hear tell that it's splitting into three parts. --And finally, I get to see Mr. Jackson's interpretation of things that were left out due to "time-constraints".

Movie-Man In reply to SomeKindaSpy [2012-10-23 04:17:26 +0000 UTC]

I know. I'm curious to know how the hell is that going to work.

Like this: The movie gets to a certain point... Fades out... We wait for the next part~!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Movie-Man In reply to SomeKindaSpy [2012-10-23 04:21:15 +0000 UTC]

Just that, how long is the book? I don't imagine it being thick like the LOTR trilogy if you combine all three books.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SomeKindaSpy In reply to Movie-Man [2012-10-23 04:25:29 +0000 UTC]

If I recall correctly... The Hobbit, written by J.R. Tolkien has 320 pages in the paperback edition and 297 pages in the hard cover edition.

--And the Lord of the Rings; The Fellowship of the Ring has roughly 398 pages.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Movie-Man In reply to SomeKindaSpy [2012-10-23 04:31:47 +0000 UTC]

If the other two books have the same number of pages like Fellowship of the Ring, the total is 1,194 pages so that just that proves my point. Why three movies for The Hobbit?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SomeKindaSpy In reply to Movie-Man [2012-10-23 05:28:06 +0000 UTC]

Because they are probably actually paying attention to the details of the book this time.. Didn't you actually read those books? There is TONS of information (as well as moments, and plot lines) they left out of the movies to make up for time. Use your brain.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Movie-Man In reply to SomeKindaSpy [2012-10-23 06:23:13 +0000 UTC]

No need to rude. Okay so I haven't read The Hobbit but I know someone who has and even he think it's a stupid idea and even went so far as to plan out everything as one or two movies.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SomeKindaSpy In reply to Movie-Man [2012-10-23 07:56:49 +0000 UTC]

Sorry, I have no legitimate excuse beyond a pet-peeve. My most sincere apologies for my behavior. As for the movie thing? Would you rather go and see a nine-hour long movie... Or would you rather have it broken up into parts?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Movie-Man In reply to SomeKindaSpy [2012-10-23 08:04:51 +0000 UTC]

It's alright. As long as you apologise and admitted an actual reason, we're both cool with each other.

And alright, point taken but said had thought of a way for it be a 2 to 3 hour film without breaking it into a tirlogy.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SomeKindaSpy In reply to Movie-Man [2012-10-23 08:29:17 +0000 UTC]

Alright, cool.

That's how they pissed off fans of the other movies.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Movie-Man In reply to SomeKindaSpy [2012-10-23 17:25:54 +0000 UTC]

To be fair, there's a reason why the LOTR films became a trilogy. The Hobbit, I'm not sure but let's see if there is a legit reason after all when December comes right around the corner.

One of my favorite things about this incarnation of the Doctor was the return to less eye searing colors than his last version! Perpetually amused slightly crabby guy is a vast improvement over the manic fashion disaster than was Six.

I love Scottish accents. McCoy's rendition of Eleven's Stonehenge speech is pure awesome.

Makes me a little sad that Tennant didn't use his real accent for his Doctor.

Sylvester McCoy is good people.
