Description
The office of Zac, Grandmaster of the newest chapter of the DEL, the New Megalopolis Demi-Legion, was opulent. Thick plush carpet covered the floor, and the walls were adorned with pictures of Zac. A large map of Mobius was also hung up, coloured pins showing other chapters of the DEL, and their current locations. Zac's large ornate hardwood desk sat in front of the window, and a glass cabinet stood nearby, filled with bottles of wine and spirits of all varieties. Grandmaster Lien-Da stood by the window and looked out. Down in the courtyard a number of legionnaire bats, Zac's troops, worked with a number of her own echidna troops.
"Impressive isn't it my dear Lien-Da?"
She turned around to see Zac enter the office, his Kommissar, Sabine, a step behind him. He went over to a wall safe and removed some paperwork, giving it to Sabine before dismissing her.
"She truly is a remarkable woman." Zac said as he watched the Kommissar leave.
"I don't have time for this." Lien-Da said.
"But of course my sweet." Zac said smiling. "You're here to see the results of our union. The troops you've loaned me have been useful in helping to set up this glorious chapter."
He walked around his desk and sat down. Lien-Da looked away from him, but she could still feel his eyes running over her body.
"Is that all you have to say Zac?" She asked.
"Grandmaster Zac." He corrected.
Lien-Da spun around and slammed her hands down onto the desk.
"Get this straight Zac." She growled. "Regardless of what you and the others choose to call yourselves, I am still the Grandmaster of the DEL as a whole. That includes this little venture of yours."
Zac smiled and gave a small chuckle.
"Understood my dear. I meant no disrespect. Calm yourself please. Beauty like yours should not be marred by anger."
Lien-Da shock her head, amazed at his attitude. Deep down she knew she should just do away with him. He would only bring her trouble later on down the track. Yet it was his confidence in himself, and his blatant attempts to flirt with her that stayed her hand. Such arrogance could be useful. Zac stood and opened the liquor cabinet, removing a bottle and two glasses. He poured out a measure into each glass and offered one to her.
"To the future, and the glories that await us my sweet Grandmaster." He toasted.
Lien-Da took the glass and downed it's contents.
"Not bad." She said.
Zac's ever present smile grew wider, and he drank form his glass.
"Agreed."
He slid the glass onto his desk, and put an arm around Lien-Da's shoulders.
"And now Grandmaster." He said. "Allow me to show you my next proposal..."
