Monster for Conceptart.org's creature of the week O__o the topic was arctic carnivore or some such. I'm ashamed to say I didn't put all that much effort into the design, cause I was really just goin for some toothy ugly beast bearing down on some poor guy. And I've tried to improve the background a bit since I entered this like a week or so ago, but I couldn't seem to get it right
ah well. It was fun to draw anyway.hope you like?

Everything works so well together, like the scale of the creature, the general shape of its body & limbs, its creepy, grin-y, toothy mouth...its eyes & its scraggly hair...

Grandma!
Very nice, the snow is nice and fluffy, while the creature is sharp and evil looking, and the little guy adds scale, otherwise he/she/it could be any size!
Very well done, i LOVE your stuff, you are invoking my mind to do more creatures and less, human stuff.

But I think it was beautifully done, the background is simple yet affective - I can't critique too much on backgrounds since I can't draw them to save my life - but I think yours is wonderful! It helps draw the attention to the monsterous behemoth there(It is kind of cute though^^). Sorry, I wasn't much help on the critiquing part.

Yay for chin arms! But seriously, the teeth and hair are very well done. I wouldn't worry too much about the background the... uh... interaction between the two dominant characters in the picture kind of... draw attention away from the background. I never even noticed it to be honest with you! I did notice that I was distracted by the creatures face, so I hardly noticed the lack of detail in the environment, but that also means that the environment isn't distracting from the main idea of the image: the struggle between the man and monster... or the dude and the hungry critter. Overall, great job!
