Description I’m really enjoying making these entries based after a certain soundtrack, perhaps I should do that more in the future.

If anyone is interested I was inspired by the Bloodborne inspired album: Night of the hunt: The Blood Moon.
By Alex Roe.

If you’re interested you can find his music on YouTube and Spotify.

This entry in particular was based after the musical piece: Vachnid, the Famished

Passing through the Bastion that was once patrolled by their comrades, the steel forged hunter discoveres that the plague has long since surpassed the city’s walls, now panicked screams and horrific howls disturb the silence of the night and the smell of burnt corpses pollutes the air, as an ominous scarlet moon shines through the smoke of the pyres.

While moving through the once busy streets of Evagan, looking for survivors, the Hunter finds a weirdly deformed beast, festering on a corpse in an alleyway.

It’s too dark to figure out what it is, but there’s something odd in the way it acts.

While the other abominations have tried to attack the Hunter, this one seems to be scared by them and quickly retreats to the rooftops.

The player can choose to chase after them and after following its tracks, they hunt it down to the main clock tower of upper district.

In the upper district, beasts are the last of the Hunter’s concerns, as a group of rebellious citizens from the lower district has taken over the place, killing the nobles and fashioning themselves as hunters, unfortunately, being so inexperienced, they are unknowingly succumbing to the plague.

The clock tower however seems a lot more peaceful, as the rebels weren’t able to get in, but perhaps…. it is too good to be true.

On each floor the Hunter comes across a bunch of dead, half eaten birds and rats, perhaps even some dead bodies of men and beasts alike, that seemed to have been scavenged from where they originally died.

Whatever this thing is, it’s certainly not on top of the food chain, but somehow, it seems to be significantly smarter than the average beast.

Once in top of the clock tower, the Hunter finally comes face to face with the creature: a decrepit and withering corpse, stuck between man and beast, while scarlet coral like growths sprouting from its deformed spine and fingers.
Whoever it was it certainly was long dead before the plague started, but somehow it came back in an horrific and twisted way, so much so that its deformed jaws couldn’t possibly let the poor thing chew on anything.

Feeling cornered, the beast will cowardly shuffle against a wall, if the hunters draw closer, the fight against Vachnid the Famished will start.

At the start of the fight, Vachnid will attack using an hit and run tactic, but as the fight progresses they become more and more desperate, attacking with long and fast combos dealing poison damage.

Once defeated, the creature drops a key to a previously locked room in the tower, that contains better gear
