Description Continuing, my idea of a possible legend of Korra sequel, I wanted to expand more towards the true mastermind, the mysterious being that gave Astulfur his powers, and train him to surpass even the Avatar. This being goes by many names, nobody really knew of its existence, until now. He says to be around even before mankind even existed, yet his goals are unclear. As I said in my previous entry, this being is locked inside an ancient vault but he’s able to speak, see and hear through objects that have his symbol on, which is pretty easy to recreate: a perfect circle, with an eye at the center. The being, that refers to himself as “The Beholder” rarely speaks through these symbols, but he’s always watching and hearing everything, referring it to Astulfur, or so he thinks. The beholder in fact doesn’t reveal everything to Astulfur or his lieutenants, it is unsure if it’s a childish prank or an attempt to grant the possibility of a fair chance to his enemies, but the most probable hypothesis is that he’s just entertaining himself, creating a conflict just to see how the story will proceed, mocking or helping the ones he believes are his characters, but this is a theory only created after its odd name. His voice resembles the one of an man around 60 years old, but he can also change it at will, he can even animate the objects through which it’s speaking, but it needs to have something that resembles limbs in order to do so. Overall, The Beholder is a mysterious and threatening figure that along with Astulfur and his lieutenants, move the ties of this war. Through out our protagonists journeys, which I’ll soon cover, many questions are asked about this sinister and powerful entity:
Why did it want the Avatar gone? What is the art of Dark bending? Why would Astulfur taking over the world not affect him at all, and why did he choose him of all people? How can he prevent his followers from aging ( since Astulfur is supposed to be 30 years older than Korra when he kills her) and how can he raise the dead and tame monsters? Probably most of these questions won’t be answered, but if the new Avatar won’t stop it and it’s followers, this war would become something far worse
