I was studying... uhm.... compression when I threw this together. Not much to say other than it is fun to do something different every now and then.Related content

Looks great! The only real issue is the breasts. That and her rump is uncovered.

Adorable! The bubblegum completely makes the picture! Just out of curiosity, what model is this?

The bubblegum or the figure?
The bubblegum was freebie over at Renderosity... (I think).
The figure is BelBel from Daz3D.

ah, ok. I don't have Belbel, so I didn't recognize her. I knew the bubble gum was from Rendo though, I saw it too and snatched it up.

She's a cutie - maybe I'll try and pick her up....not that I need anymore female models. I have about 9 of them, lol.

Does this use your new lighting? It looks good - soft shadows and nice gloss on the bubble gum dress too!
Hey, the floor looks like a function - that means you're a geek.

Yes, this uses the new lighting system. It is not so harsh on the speculars and bump maps as PIBL was. I'm getting better results now and everything is in a single file as well. It makes the thing a lot easier to work with. I'm still trying to figure out what the defaults should be though. If you want to try out an intermediate version, let me know. Unfortunately, I don't have any documentation for it yet, but it runs similar to PIBL.
As for the floor... not a function. I modeled the backdrop in wings. I created the floor tiles and assigned the materials manually. Sadly, I never even thought about a function until you mentioned it...... might have save a lot of time... *sigh*

Yes, I would like to try it! I can get by without doc, maybe just a few instructions if it differs from PIBL.
Well, then you're not a geek! So that's good.
The floor reminded me of the wall on this peice [link] There's code for it down in the comments. It's a really fun function, changing the values of "2" and "3" give lots of different effects.

Ok doke....

Actually, most if not all of PIBL's command line parameters work with this. The file generated is commented, but nothing is in it's final stages. I am also thinking that the default master_brightness is not strong enough. Setting it to around 10 is appearing to work better. You will also probably want to set the default orientation to left or right (1 or 3). This tool also has some parameters from later versions of PIBL that were never released. (Like the prefix, light ball, and daylight options.)
Also... set the light quality to 0 the first time you render. Otherwise......

Outstanding!
Everyone else has already commented on the particulars, so I'll just leave it with that.

Wow...love it!!! The posing of her is great, the outfit - both the color and design/fashion just screams out bubblegum. Rather than a static image of a lifeless figure, this really looks like you've caught just a moment of her life. It has a very spontaneous feel to it and is very enjoyable to look at. The only suggestion I have would be to try to re-work the background...maybe walking down the boardwalk at the beach? Anyway, very good job! =^-^=

I actually wanted her to look something like a figurine standing on a display stand. The hair might be to realistic for that though.....
