Description sometimes when I am working on something more involved, I have to go off an try something on the side. This piece was a result of taking a break from some of the 3D-modeling work I have been doing recently.

Another example of something I don't normally post. Enjoy!

This is probably your best piece, it looks so real that I had to open it up to convince myself it was computer generated. I really like the use of blemishes, enough to seem real but few so that the model still has that "perfect" sex appeal.

Thanks for noticing the blemishes. Those are a special shader node I worked a long time on. Nobody has perfect skin and I wanted to reflect in the renders I do. You are the first person to ever comment on them.

Holy crap I'm impressed. Amazing work. You are truly talented. Keep it up. Random little things that make you (or anyone else) smile are the best type.

nice level of photorealism. Her hair needs to fall forward, though. No one has hairspray that strong.

I think Digital-Kisses has it right here about this being so different from your usual style recently. I think that when you concentrate on a particular style people come to expect that is all you do, so when you do something different it is beyond their expectations and thus they don't know quite how to deal with the change - the same thing happens in every facet of life. We get used to something being a particular way, and when it's not we get thrown for a loop - consider your friend having a haircut, you know somethings different at first glance but can't quite put your finger on what and it irks you.

I guess I'm lucky being relatively new at all this, I'm still learning and changing and thus doing and trying different things all the time, so there is no expectation on what I produce.

For mine - I think this is great. Sure, Poser is doing it's thing with the arm pit, but that's nothing major, and it doesn't detract from what you have achieved here all. Now, where did I put that elephant stamp.

I do that too... it helps the working process to stop a little and 'turn off' the brain doing something less complicated...

that's a beautifull pin up, loved the monochromacity

You should do more of this, she's sooo lovely and this doesn't look like 3D work at all it's almost like looking at a real life picture, awesome job hon

Weird... people either seem to really like this or really hate it. I'm not quite sure what to make of it.

well that all depends on how you look at it I guess, you usually make more anime like work, sometimes it's very different I think that's what people have been expecting from you, as I said I love this for one cause it's exactly that.. different but we all like different things right, stick to what feels good for you, then it doesn't matter what other think right?

I kind of feel the same way. I suspect I would have had a completely different reaction if I used Aiko instead of Vic and put some cat or bunny ears on her.

Got to buck the crowd. Looks like a doll, or a mannequin rendered like that. the pose is weirdly unnatural and she has NO life at all in her features. Her posture is stiffly rigid and robotic looking and the blank stare and expressionless face is like a plastic mask. The right arm is over-rotated backward at the collar joint to an unnatural angle.

Jeez, sounds like I'm roasting you big time. Sorry. Compared to your other stuff, this piece SUFFERS big-time.

The good parts are the sepia-tones look awesome, and the skin texture settings rock. Other than that, I didn't like it. Sorry.

Yeah basically she said it all for me, but the rest are right, the coloring and overall effect of the piece is nice. Plus you said this is basically a "doodle" to you so hey... I'm looking forward to whatever this was a break from.

Wow, when I saw the thumbnail I thought it was a photo, but then in the full sized picture I noticed Poser's typical oddball armpits and the gravity defying hair. That was one of the reasons I invested so much time creating hair morphs in my free time!

Now that I have V4 I have also been very tempted to try something like this, which is also something I never posted in my gallery. Coincidently I also rendered V4 in B&W with her hi-res wet texture but in Poser 7 the texture details sort of get lost with Firefly. I even used that texture in my recent ~Scarlet Devil~ deviation, but if you look at it one can hardly tell her skin is actually drenched wet, even in B&W mode. My current trend has been posting animations with original music I composed myself. Posted my 3rd one a minute ago.
