Description This image was a trial render for a small render farm I am working on. Seemed like a good theme for approaching summer.

The scene was rendered across 3 different machines. The depth-of-field is not faked using a depth map. It is real. (Hence the reason for 3 machines....)

Enjoy!

Nice framing! I am still going insane trying to use Poser Pro 2010's network rendering because I can't get my two Win7 PCs to network properly...

The perspective was done using povray's depth-of-field features. I don't use it much as it is extremely compute intensive.

Thanks, but that looks too heavy for my pc

how long did it take to render across three machines, and in what program?

Nice perspective by the way ^_~

Still took about 36 hours to render in megaPov. The DOF in povray/megaPov is just brutal...

Now what is the difference between povray DOF and and what is used in Poser and Daz?

I really can't see that much difference in the result

There shouldn't be any difference. They work in similar ways.

Weird, DOF only add about 30% more to the render time in DS3.
