Description Well, this is an early character sketch for the second 10K hit piece for .

This piece is going to have a lot of technical challenges and is going to take some time to complete. The tattoo was described as being a celtic/tribal piece. I decided to run with the celtic idea as the tribal thing is way overdone anymore. Vicky's seams have made making the tattoo a real.... well, let's just say I can't really describe the process without inserting lots of cuss words...

Nicely placed Tattoos and I know what you mean on placing tatoos. Seems like a nice challenge

I know what you mean about the seams. Some figures have seams that don't align correctly at wrap around lines. Sometimes it's best to avoid continuous textures passign through such areas. In this case things seem to have gone right on that matter. ^^

Looks good so far, I like the texture and shadows on the figure. The hands look particularly good, especially considering they're usually the problem for a lot of 3D models. One thing I think you should look out for is the join between the arm and the body - it seems to run too far up the back at the moment, especially on her right side. The tattoos are loooking cool though, will be interesting to see how they progress

No fricking kidding on V3 and her seams man. I just did that myself for an extra credit project for color theory class. That is found here: [link]

It's why I went with Miki as my model, her back is solid with no seams. I didn't have time to figure out V3 for my intricate celtic tattoo design due to the fact that the project was due the day I was making the extra credit images.

Have you tried the V3 catsuit with a transparency map for the tattoos to be the only thing visible? I don't recall what the seams look like in that thing, but it might be worth a shot.

"Vicky's seams have made making the tattoo a real female dog, a real pain in the posterior, so to speak."
